Nini Sum is a visual artist working in screen printing and collage. Her work delves into the concepts of fragmentation and reconstruction, exploring the creation of 'Space' and ‘Dimension‘ within the 2D surface.
Nini's artistic process is both thorough and distinctive: She begins by drawing and screen printing everyday life scenes, as well as capturing elements of nature like sunlight and shadow. These prints are then meticulously deconstructed into fragments or abstract shapes, which are then reconfigured to forge a contemporary viewing experience. Nini’s work is a mixture of space and time, future and history, surrealism and nostalgia.
Together with German artist Gregor Koerting, Nini Sum founded China's first independent screen printing studio IdleBeats in Shanghai in 2010, which garnered significant acclaim within Shanghai's vibrant subculture music and cultural scene.
Nini is also one of six international artists Adobe collaborated with in 2020 and one of three artists Adidas invited to contribute to the ‘Women In Power’ sportswear collection, which was released worldwide in over 30 countries. Dazed and Confused magazine has hailed her work as “a new vision of Chinese urban art.”

Nini Sum与德国艺术家Gregor Koerting于2010年在上海创立了中国第一家独立丝网版画工作室 - 爱豆笔此IdleBeats。在上海充满活力的独立音乐和文化场景中获得了重要的赞誉。
Nini的作品曾在中国、德国、澳大利亚、美国、比利时、南非和荷兰等国家展出，她是Adobe于2020年合作的六位国际艺术家之一，并受Adidas邀请创作“Women in Power”艺术家联名款系列运动服饰，在全球超过30多个国家发布。
